Scammer Info

These people are like:

I need a beautiful well bred purebred miniature dachshund that is chocolate dapple and will live for 15 years. Has had its shots at the vet and on a really good food in my area within 20 miles of my house but for $300. Might pay you $20 to deliver

………

I’m sorry but when you get a new Iphone do you ask for the newest Iphone in a specific color for $300 or do you pay the price for the 6.12 inch screen that only lasts you around 2 years?

Or

Do you ever hear people buying brand name watches or purses “that are real” and brand new trying to Low ball ?

No….

So why do it with a living companion that will out live it all?

(Stollen from another site)

(Below are my words)

Breeders put in 2 months caring for their pregnant Dam, then 8 full weeks of days and sleepless nights caring for these babies. Losing litters, c-sections to pay for, food, vitamins, DNA testing, registrations, all the extras to care for puppies and mommas, etc.

Take an average going rate of $1600 for a puppy, now divide that buy the 15+ years you will have that dog, that comes out to a little over $100 per year. Does that seem like a lot for your best friend?

But remember, not all breeders are created equal. Some will give you a bag of food and send you on your way, others will give you a substantial gift bag with lots of puppy goodies, informational paperwork and go over it with you, etc. Be sure to check out everyone and ask questions.

To tell a breeder their prices are too high is an absolute insult and demeaning.

When trying to find a puppy it is hard to know who to trust.  Scammers are at an all time high lately. Their biggest target color is DAPPLES!

Signs to know you are dealing with a scammer:
Cheap price (typically anything under$1000), Responses are pushy on getting the deposit, broken language, pics of puppies with different backgrounds, won't do a video call, wont send videos of the puppy, odd meeting places.

The biggest red flag is going to be price- Usually $500-$600 and you think that's a better deal than the price you got from a legit reputable breeder. They will ask for half down so typically $300.  Now imagine going to get the puppy and they don't show to the meeting place and also blocked you on all platforms. Now that $300 is gone, and you could have put it towards a puppy from a reputable breeder.  DO YOUR RESEARCH!

WE are typically flexible in letting you making payments if needed. Open communication is key.
